ABOUT

AYURVEDA

Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words - Ayur (life) and Veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to "knowledge of life".

It addresses your digestive fire, the types of food and when/or if you should consume them, and your lifestyle; to re-establish and maintain balance.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy is a medical degree. It’s the treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient's mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. Physiotherapists get you involved in your own recovery.

Both of these forms of healing are very specific and unique to the individual. It is important to understand each person as an individual and requires a message about what is relevant to them. The advice will change over the course of a lifetime, a month and even a day.

YOGA

Yoga, the sister science to Ayurveda, was developed thousands of years ago. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit words ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join or unite’. Yoga focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body.

WHAT IS AYURVEDA BY SHARA?

Ayurveda by Shara is centered around guidance, nurturing and intention.

As we navigate throughout the days, the months and the years, we often need guidance to help us stay balanced during the ever-changing cycles of our life. We are not the same person that we were yesterday. Tomorrow we will be different from what we are today - what we do now will dictate who we are tomorrow.

Through one-on-one and group discussions we learn how to work with our natural rhythms, learn from each other and utilize the knowledge that we are not alone; we do not exist in isolation.

Is your intention to be generally healthy and well balanced? Is it to lose weight? Is it to have healthy vibrant skin? Is it so that you can have more energy and be more efficient in your day?

We are organic living beings who have the potential to be full of vivacious positive energy. We must learn how to obtain this lifestyle and nurture ourselves so we may get the best out of our bodies and our mind; making sure we maximize our quality of life!
